Senior Plumbing Engineer-Greenville Location
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.
Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup.
- Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to P&ID development.
- Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems, water and waste systems, and equipment design.
- Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.
- Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Education and Experience:

- Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 or more years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering.
Basic Job Requirements
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Minimum ten (10) years of work-related experience designing HVAC or plumbing systems
• Working knowledge of applicable federal (including Department of Energy orders), state, and local codes and standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to project management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Knowledge of discipline codes and standards
• Ability to perform work in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal codes, statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include proficiency in the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
• Experience providing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services on industrial projects
• Proficiency executing engineering projects utilizing 3D modeling and 2D CADD automation tools in a multi-discipline environment
Discipline Specific Job Requirements
• Proficiency utilizing 3D modeling and 2D CADD automation tools in the design of HVAC or plumbing systems
• 3D modeling of HVAC equipment and ductwork
• Development of 2D duct plans from the 3D model
• Development of 2D sections, details and HVAC schedules
