HAMMER INSTRUCTOR/TRAINER

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

Training instructor needed for Emergency Vehicle Operation.  Position will be located at the DOE training facility in Richland Washington.

 

Must be a certified Subject Matter Expert Training

 

Driver Awareness

 

The Driver Awareness course taught to Hanford Site personnel is designed for employees who need to

drive a government vehicle two to three (2-3) times a week as a part of their job duties. The focus is

on safe vehicle operations and driving techniques necessary to avoid accidents by making vehicle

operators aware of their surroundings. Training will include the principle(s) that employees are familiar

with the location and operation of safety controls (emergency brakes, hazard lights) and other interior

features before they turn the key in the ignition. The techniques covered in the course include visual

awareness, looking forward, lifting your focus, steering wheel management, and backing to avoid

accidents. The course starts out with classroom training then moves out to the EVOC course for hands-on

training in EVOC vehicles. Similar curriculum would be covered with external customers.
