COUNSELOR

 

EDUCATION

 

  • Must have completed an accredited graduate program in Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education with an independent and unencumbered license in the state of Tennessee as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor an unencumbered license and Mental Health Service Provider designation as required by the state of Tennessee.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in mental health and/or substance abuse counseling (individual and group).
  • Experience with risk assessment in an outpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with brief interventions or willingness to learn, implement and become certified, if needed.
  • Willingness to provide community and workforce education (presentations).

  • Preferred 4 years' experience in mental health and/or substance abuse counseling (individual and group).

 

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide behavioral health services to employees. Will provide behavioral health services in accordance with regulatory and agency requirements. Counseling staff will also participate in the implementation of educational programs under the guidance of the Program Manager.
  • Provide behavioral health and mental health consultation, counseling, and case management to employees and assist in securing/referring for additional support/care/treatment as appropriate.
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Coordinate care and patient follow-up
  • Interface with the workforce, management, Department of Energy, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Assist with program success, future development, and workforce and community engagement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for mental health and substance abuse.
  • Ensure confidentiality per HIPM and other governmental regulations, accurate documentation, and record keeping compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Provide training, education, and presentations on related mental health/substance abuse topics to the workforce as requested.
  • May be required to assist in ancillary office/clinic duties such as scheduling, generating reports, assessments, metrics, etc.
  • Additional services and support as directed by the Behavioral and Mental Health Program Manager
